Living in the Moment

2011 January 3

The other day I received a great visual analogy of how we change when we let life’s dramas and situations start to affect us.

Our spiritual self is like a great ocean of water that is glass smooth without any ripples or currents to affect it.  It has unlimited energy, depth, and power to create.

As we are born into physical form we allow our glass smooth surface to become disrupted.  As we become involved in life’s dramas and emotions, ripples start to appear on the surface of our ocean and as we allow these dramas to become more intense and real to us, these ripples on our surface become waves and before too long we have white caps, huge troughs, and crests on our surface.

We have allowed ourselves to get caught up in the perceptions of our lives.  Our thoughts are completely immersed in the future what ifs.  What if I lose my job?  What if I can’t afford to live in my house?  What if the Republicans do this?  What if the Democrats do that?  What if no one likes me?  What if, what if, what if?  We are no longer living in the Now.

Our ocean of water is in turmoil and we have lost our sense of energy, power, and creation.

Like so many people over the past few years, I was downsized and lost my job, and I could no longer afford my house, and had to sell it at a loss of face foreclosure, however I have learned to live in the Now.  Today I am fine.  Today I have everything that I need.  I have no reason to regret the past, because it is that past that has allowed me to be who I am today.  I have no reason to worry about the future, since the future is not here yet and today I am fine.

My ocean is calm.

We can let ourselves get lost in life’s dramas and that is perfectly OK.  However, if you would like your ocean to be calm and serene, simply learn to live in the moment: never regret the Past, never fear the Future.

Have a blessed and peaceful 2011.

What Do We Really Look Like.

We see ourselves with light or dark skin, light or dark hair, light or dark eyes, thin, round, tall, short etc.

The simple truth is that we are none of these.  This is simply the illusion that we have created for our roles in physical form.

All of us are energetic beings that emit the most brilliant and beautiful colors that cannot be found in our physical universe.

We are truly beings of light that occupy a physical form to give this form animation.  The simple truth is that we come into our lives by putting on our human costume to play the role that we have chosen for ourselves.

Once we are done with our role, which results in the physical death of our form, we return to our true form as beings of incredible light and beauty.

Our auras, which some people can see, are a glimpse of our true selves.  These auras display colors that are specific to how we are feeling and doing at that moment and will change quite frequently during the day.  They do not portend our physical health or well-being and do not require clearing or healing as is often thought.  These beliefs are part of what one can call Santa Clause metaphysics.  A Santa Clause metaphysic is a metaphysical belief that is part of our physical plane and does have any truth in a spiritual sense.  There is nothing wrong with these beliefs and they all do serve a purpose as humans.  It is something that we can choose to include in our play as a human or not include.

If you can, try not to get caught up in anyone’s physical appearance as well as your own, since we are truly all the same as well as all part of the same.

The Justice of Forever Takes Care of Itself.

2010 October 8

“The justice of forever takes care of itself.”
I love the idea of this. In simple words, everything is in perfect order, and everything is taken care of in its own time.
You could interpret this as a call for final retribution, justice being served, or the settling of Karma, however I think that those interpretations are too limiting for the enormity of this statement.
The simple truth is that we as spiritual beings exist and have existed forever, and in this foreverness all things take care of themselves. The Grand Plan, if we want to call it that, is for everything to work itself out. After all our energetic makeup is simply love. How can anything bad, wrong, or indifferent come out of love? I realize that bad, wrong and indifferent are judgments found in our physical plane, however I choose to use them to illustrate my point.
Everything is in perfect order, and everything has its own time and place.
I realize how difficult this is to see when we are not allowed to know in physical form how everything fits together and flows one into the other, or how one lifetime of experiences automatically leads into our next lifetime of experiences. Although deep within us we know that everything is in perfect order i.e. everything happens for a reason.
When you find yourself going through difficult times and emotions, let yourself remember your infinite energy and know that what you are going through is always temporary and is for your highest good. You are in total control of your life and experiences and have chosen on a spiritual level to have the life experiences that you are having, because they are part of your whole experience as well as the universe’s whole experience.
In difficult times try to recite the mantra, “This is nothing compared to what I am”.
A friend of mine pointed out to me the other day that if we are able to know our infinite nature than a current life of difficulties can simply be a balancing of a past life of pleasures.
We are here to experience all aspects of a personality i.e. emotions, situations, people, etc. And in that experience we are here to remember who and what we really are.
The justice of forever takes care of itself.

Time

Time is a very intriguing concept that we have created for our physical lifetimes.  In our physical dimension time is sequential, i.e. one thing happens after another.  In the spiritual dimension all time is now.  Everything is now.  All ages, eras, generations are now.  There exists no past and no future.

Our human mind requires a storyline of past, present, and future.  The simple truth is that our version of time is a construct of our human mind, and helps us stay in the illusion of being powerless, and human.

I love this contradiction.  It has me wander how everything can actually be now.  Are all of our memories in human form pre programmed?  Do we ever really do anything?  Are we simply remembering what we did ten years ago, one year ago, one month ago, one week ago, one day ago, one minute ago, a second ago?  Are we simply experiencing everything and not actually doing anything?  I guess we won’t know until we are back in spirit.

The importance is to not worry about the past or the future, but learn to live our lives in the now, i.e. at this exact moment only.

As the saying goes, the past cannot be changed, and the future for the most part cannot be known, so simply live in the now.

Any time you find yourselves worried about what you may have done in the past or what might happen in the future, learn to ask yourself, how you are at that exact moment.  Are you OK right now?  If you are OK, than what is there to worry about.  If you are not OK, what can you do to change the situation?  If you can’t change the situation, than just know that you are exactly where you are meant to be and that everything is as it should be.  Your spirit is in control and you are OK.

I know that this is a very difficult concept for most of us particularly when we have lost jobs; lost homes, have no income, etc., however we are truly OK in all situations.  Trust in yourself. Trust in your spirit. It is the real you.

A Soul’s Journey

We have a tendency to look at our lives purely from our physical state and believe that we are born and then we die and pass on into heaven or something else.

Consider the following journey as the simple truth:

We are a spiritual being that exists in an energetic state that has total freedom; is never ill, never feels down or blue; always has everything that it needs, and exists in a state of pure love.

Then one day it finds itself contained in a very restricting environment.  In fact it is encased in a vehicle of tissue, which is swimming in an embryonic liquid inside another vehicle of tissue.

After a certain time, which is also foreign to this spiritual being, since it has no concept of time, it finds itself outside of the other vehicle of tissue within a new environment, where it can now feel pain, hunger, and a lack.

It is still slightly aware of its true self and understands that it came into this new form to play a game, but as time goes on it starts to believe that this new environment is real and it forgets about home.  It is around other vehicles of tissue that are parents, siblings, friends, teachers, co-workers, etc., but it no longer feels the state of pure love.  It goes to a school, where it learns about this new environment as if it were reality.  It is always around other vehicles of tissue that have no memory of home.  It graduates, gets a job, maybe marries, and ages feeling pain, illness, heartache, loneliness, joy, pride, love, comfort, and many other emotions foreign to it.

At some point it may wonder what this life is all about and feel that there must be something more.  Maybe it will have some memory of its true self.  Maybe it will have a memory of something it was to do while in this physical state.

Eventually the vehicle of tissue dies.  However instead of this being the end, it finds itself back at the beginning and is again a spiritual being with total freedom existing in a state of pure love.

And at this point it has full knowledge of why it played the game, why it allowed itself to exist in such a limited state, and of what a miracle it performed simply by being a human.

There is nothing that you do that is worthless.  There is nothing that you do that is wrong.  You are a spiritual being inside a vehicle made up of tissue, bones, blood, organs, etc. existing in a reality created by you, playing out your own plan or destiny until you are finished and can return to your natural state again.  Where you will be welcomed home and celebrated as one of the magnificent spirits that was willing to forget who it was in order to truly allow all spirits to remember.

Have you seen the bumper stickers that state, “This is not a dress rehearsal!”  The simple truth is that depending on your viewpoint of past lives and eternity, it very well may be.

Destiny

We all want to believe that we are in control of our lives.  The simple truth is that we are indeed in complete control of our lives, however the “we” is our spiritual self.  It is important to note that our spiritual self is not separate from our human self, because it is our spirit that provides the animation of our human form.  I can never say this enough, we are spiritual beings having a profound experience in human form.  There is no separation from our spiritual self and our human self.  What causes the feeling of separation is that our human mind was deliberately programmed by us to not recognize nor remember our true nature.

The good news or should I say great news is that our true nature is as a spiritual being and that we as a spiritual being are in complete control of our lives.

We have fully created our entire reality and circumstances and have the ability to change them at will.  We have come to play a role in human form to experience things that can only be experienced in a human form, and at the same time we have challenged ourselves to remember our true nature while existing in a reality that completely hides us from our true nature.

As we experience things and learn from these experiences, we have the ability to choose to move on to other experiences and in essence change our original life plan.  If we came to experience such emotions as frustration, anger, ignorance, prejudice, and injustice, we may live a portion of our life such as Nelson Mandela, and just as Nelson Mandela, once we have experienced these emotions enough, we can change our experiences to something else.

So again we are in complete control of our human lives, and can change things instantaneously.  We are creators of everything.

Destiny is a little different.  We predetermine our “destiny” prior to arriving in any lifetime.  In other words we have a predetermined destiny to do or experience certain things that we do not change during our lifetime.  Such examples would be who our parents are, where we grow up, who we marry or don’t marry, and have relationships with, possibly our chosen career, and other significant events in our lives.

Destiny plays a bigger role than our day-to-day circumstances and experiences and creates significant changes in our lives.  It is very likely that Nelson Mandela’s dramatic change in circumstances was destiny or predetermined particularly due to how it changed more than just his life.

We all have destiny built in to our lives.  I believe that those of us that have lost jobs, lost homes, lost loved ones are all experiencing our destiny.  These losses have created significant change in our lives and in many cases have created a fabulous opportunity to see things differently as well as to remember who we really are.

How could our conscious mind understand the complexity and patterns that originate in one lifetime, but have significant meaning in another lifetime?  Of course we are spirit and control our lives from spirit, not from our human mind.

As stated earlier in one of these blogs, we are the Gods of our own universe.  We have no one to accuse, blame, or thank for our circumstances other than ourselves.  Everything in our lives is in perfect order and part of our personal miracle of creation.  The next time that you experience the perfect sunset; see an incredible flower; marvel at the colors of a birds feathers; observe the intricate detail of a tree’s bark, or any other incredible creation, thank yourself. You are a creator of miracles.

Judgement and Prejudice

We all have a tendency to pass judgment on people or various circumstances in out lives.  When we do this it is important to understand the root of our judgment or prejudice.  The simple truth is that all judgment or prejudice derives from our perceptions and or memories of situations and events in our lives or in some cases from the perceptions or memories that we have stored within our collective memories from pervious lives.

As an example some of us have a tendency to see an overweight person and think of them as “fat” or, “lazy” or, “undisciplined”.  It wasn’t all that long ago that an overweight person signified wealth, because they were able to eat well, and healthy, because they could afford the better foods.

Pretty much the opposite of how we may judge overweight people today.

The other important aspect of judgment is how often the person that we are passing judgment on is simply a mirror of those aspects within ourselves that we find offensive or difficult to accept.  This, of course, results in another judgment.

The next time that you find yourself passing judgment on a person, please take the time to dissect your judgment.  Ask yourself where your judgment originates.  What is it about the particular person or circumstances that cause you to put a label on them?  What memory or perception in your life causes you to put a particular label on them?  Does the situation or person mirror a characteristic within yourself that you find difficult to accept?

It is our human mind that feels the need to label everything as good or bad, easy or difficult, etc.

The next time you find yourself labeling something or someone, catch yourself before you label it and know that you brought this situation or person into your life for a reason.  Look to find out the reason and learn from it.

Nothing in our lives requires a label or judgment, since it is there to provide us with an experience; to allow us to grow in vibration, and; to allow us to remember who we really are.

What is Karma?

2010 May 2

Karma has commonly been compared to a debt owed.  It is associated with what we perceive as good or bad deeds.  So when we perform an act of charity it is referred to as good karma, and when we perform an act of ill will it is referred to as bad karma.  This karma is believed to accumulate over your many physical lifetimes, and will carry with you from one physical lifetime to another.  So if you led what is perceived as a bad life, this bad karma that you accumulated will carry with you into your next physical lifetime, and force you to atone for it in this next physical lifetime.  This accumulation of bad karma also will require you to return to physical form over and over again until you have paid off your debt of bad karma by performing enough acts of good karma to finally be allowed into Nirvana or heaven.

The Christian faith typically doesn’t want its followers to believe in having more than one physical lifetime and thus has reinterpreted the concept of Karma into Heaven and Hell.  In this belief, we have only one physical lifetime to earn the right to go to Heaven or be eternally damned to Hell.  Of course there is also this Purgatory and Limbo concept that doesn’t warrant any discussion at all.

Both of these beliefs serve to encourage us to lead what we perceive as good lives.  This in and of itself is a noble reason to believe in Karma or Heaven and Hell.

The simple truth is that from a spiritual perspective there is no good or bad.  This is a construct of the human mind, and completely subject to our human perception.  Look at the different perceptions of what is good or bad around the world, particularly when comparing very strict Muslim beliefs versus American beliefs.  Karma from a spiritual sense is simply the opportunity to return a favor.

Before we come into physical form, we decide on what experiences we want to have and with whom.  We then put together our life plan and prepare to be born.  In this life plan we ask other spiritual beings to play specific roles for us so we can make sure to have the experiences that we want.  These favors that the other spiritual beings perform for us is Karma.  If we choose to repay their favor by playing a specific role in their next lifetime then we are repaying this Karma.

So if you are experiencing a particularly difficult person in your life, it is very likely that they are repaying Karma for you, since you probably portrayed a very difficult person in their prior life.

If we have had many physical lifetimes, the chances are very good that we have been the murderer and the murdered, the victimizer and the victim, the abuser and the abused, the giver and the taker, the greedy and the generous, etc.

Try to look at every person and situation in your life as a spiritually chosen gift, and realize that these people and situations all serve to raise your physical vibration so that you become closer to who you really are, i.e. a magnificent spiritual being.  And as your own vibration rises, you raise the overall vibration of the entire universe, which brings us all closer to creating Heaven on Earth.

Why We Have Nothing To Fear, Ever!

2010 April 6

The Simple Truth is that fear is exclusively a physical being’s experience.  We cannot experience fear in spiritual form.  Also, unless we are in immediate physical danger, fear always originates from a perception of our logical mind.  Just think about it!  Virtually all of our fears arise from our human memory of past events and our human perception of a future event.

When we fear losing our jobs, or losing someone’s love, or fear for our health, these fears are solely based upon our memories as well as our perceptions of the circumstances in our lives.  For instance, if the company you work for is facing cut backs because of lost income, you can easily perceive that they will be letting people go and that you will be one of the people let go.  Your memory can remind you of how this has happened to others that you know or others that you have heard about. This fear can become reality, however until it actually happens that you are let go, it is a fear based upon your perception of the current situation as well as the future of the situation.

This demonstrates the importance of living in the moment.  Our spiritual self only knows the present.  There is no past or future to a spiritual being.

The past and the future are exclusively human constructs. Until you actually lose your job, you have no reason to fear that you might lose your job.

I know that this all seems to be easier said than done, particularly in these very uncertain economic times, however worrying about something that hasn’t happened yet is just an excuse to worry.

Another much more important aspect for a reason not to have fear, unless being physically threatened, is that our spirits or souls have planned our lives as they wanted it to be.  So if we lose our jobs, which incidentally I did, it was part of our spirit’s plan for this life.

If you can trust that your own spirit or soul is in control of your life, what then is there to be afraid of?

I realize that this is so much easier said than done, however fear is such a heavy energy to carry.  It acts to lower our body’s vibration, and as you have undoubtedly experienced, it feels terrible.

Any emotion that lowers our body’s vibration feels terrible.

Do your best to trust your spirit’s life plan for yourself and let go of the perceived fear of what might or might not happen in your future.

Life Patterns

2010 February 17

So often in our lives we find ourselves in similar situations or with the same kind of people that we just no longer want to experience.  The simple truth is that we place ourselves in these same patterns in order to learn to react differently to them.  Life patterns will repeat themselves over and over, even lifetime after lifetime, until we eventually react differently than we have.  So often the repeated pattern simply wants us to take responsibility or to stand up for ourselves in a loving and sympathetic manner.

Always the repeated pattern is telling us something about ourselves and giving us the opportunity to change.

In my current life I constantly found myself in situations of dishonesty and betrayal along with the same personalities that were to be found within my own family.  I couldn’t understand why I attracted the same situation over and over again, until I worked with a healer that helped me see the mirror of these patterns.

I was being dishonest and betraying people although I felt that my own acts were out of necessity and not acts of deceit.

As an example, I was assigned to a company by the home office of the corporation that owned the company.  My job was to review all current practices and people and report back to the home office with my findings.  I certainly never saw this as being dishonest or betraying anyone.  Our spirits do not see things this way.  Dishonesty is dishonesty and betrayal is betrayal.

I would have been much better served by discussing my findings with the people involved instead of simply sending them on to the home office.  You might say that I was only doing my job as requested, however total honesty is a much better choice despite what we may perceive as the consequences.

Since I discovered this life pattern and the lesson within, I no longer find myself in these same situations nor with the same types of people as before.

Life patterns are fairly simple to discover, since they do repeat themselves over and over.  All we need to do is to review our lives to see what situations have been the most challenging for us and look for the similarities in them.  There should be quite a few.   Once we see the patterns, and then look for the lesson in them for you.  How do these experiences make you feel?  How did you react to them?  Are you behaving in a similar manner to anyone in your life?  How would you wish to be treated?  Can you treat others in this same way?

So often our life patterns are simply providing mirrors to allow us to look at ourselves and see how we may be influencing these patterns.  Almost always we are being directed to take back our own power over the situation and behave differently.  Sometimes it is as simple as walking away and telling your spirit that you will no longer allow these situations into your life.

Although we have nothing to learn when in our natural state as a spiritual being, we have much to experience in physical form.  These experiences that we have planned for ourselves are there to assist us in remembering who we really are and act accordingly.

We are all beautiful and powerful spiritual beings that always act out of love and compassion.  Look how we could change the world if we all acted this way in physical form.
